This week’s episode is packed full. The guys jump right in talking about the week’s financial turmoil and then jump to other topics including the Corpus Clock,eBay’s PayPal only policy, and dumb Internet users. Next it’s bad news for DRM and the RIAA. Next, would you believe that a 12-year old McDonald’s’ Hamburger looks as”good” as a new one? In tech take a look at the new G1 from T-mobile and a new idea in streaming video.
From there Mike and Jim turn their eye towards politics. A few stories lead the way discussing some history the Democrats would like to forget, a rant from CNN and a great one from Stephen Colbert.
Following the break, the guys record their stream of consciousness discussion of the candidates post-debate.

This week’s Cigar and Drink Pairing
This week the guys talk about the Parker’s Heritage 27 tasting at Federal Wine & Spirits in Boston later this week, and Jim shares some humorous stories about his son. Mike then goes off a bit about yard sales (specifically the ones that take place in his front yard).
Next, it’s on to tech with some Vista and Apple notes, more about Google’s Chrome browser, and a new version of the Amazon Kindle.
From there it’s politics. Alan Greenspan weighs in on the McCain tax cut plan, an article sheds light on the “ugly new McCain”, and Dilbert creator, Scott Adams, sponsors a survey of economists to get their take on the upcoming election.
After the break, Mike has done all the research for planning out how to watch all the best guy shows this fall! Listen to the day by day man’s schedule and get your DVR’s ready.

This week’s Cigar and Drink Pairing:
This week launches our first mini-episode where Jim flys solo. In this episode he talks about a few headline issues for the week and then dives into a look at the ongoing political discussion over Oil – where we get it and how we use it.
This is the first of our election year issues where we do our best to set aside partisan politics and try to take a factual view of a topic that is likely to be in the forefront of the upcoming U.S. Presidential election. This week we examine some of the topics of debate around oil and try to get an understanding of the facts behind the hype.
We look at the issues surrounding offshore drilling, where we get our oil, the issues around environmental impacts and the question around conservation.
