Looks like Mike and I managed to drop the ball once again. One week after we said we’d be going weekly, we took a couple of weeks off. Sorry about that, but life happens. Between a few things that popped up, a belated Birthday party for me that tanked one of the past couple of weekends, and a rather nasty cold that swept through my family and took me down this past weekend, we have simply not been able to put some time together to do the show. We’ll try and pick up where we left off and get things back on the road so to speak next week.

Just a thought, I am one of those listeners that liked the cigar reviews but do not listen to them in the separate podcast. Maybe, on your off week when you don’t have a back end segment you can add the cigar review for that week.

Good to hear from you. Mike and I discussed doing just what you suggested, but ultimately decided against it for the same reason that we originally split the shows out with the start of Season 4.
Basically, if you do a cigar review as part of your show, you are a “cigar podcast” and quite frankly there are lots of those out there already, many of which Mike and I listen to ourselves. It is really important for us to try and appeal to as wide an audience as possible with the Mind of Men and the sad fact is that there are a lot more non-smokers than there are cigar smokers.
We really appreciate our cigar loving listeners as they are some of our most passionate fans which is one of the reasons that we continue to produce our From the Havana Hut podcast, but we really do want to keep it separate from the Mind of Men so that we have the ability to appeal to as wide an audience as possible.
