Mike

Mike has been an avid computer user since the days when the battles waged between the Apple 2 and the TRS-80. For the past 10 years, Mike has been at the helm as CEO and founder of an web content management company in central Massachusetts, and has had his hand on the pulse of the Internet since the “early days. ”

As a husband, father, home-owner, business-owner and self-proclaimed geek, Mike brings a diverse collection of interests and experience to the Mind of Men.

Mike is the genius behind all of that “dang web stuff” as Jim refers to it.  Mike designs all of the graphical elements for the web site and is responsible for making the whole thing look really good.

Jim

Jim is President of a small Hi-Tech manufacturing company in New England.  Prior to this, Jim spent most of his career in management, IT,  and security consulting.  As such, Jim is a big believer in information privacy and security and frequently looks at news and technology from this point of view.  Jim is the resident gadget guy of the podcast and is frequently showing off some new toy he just picked up.  He is almost as frequently selling some older gadget on eBay to fund his lust for the latest and greatest in gadgets.

Besides gadgets, Jim is a  collector especially  of Scotches, Bourbons, and Cigars, and is frequently introducing Mike and the rest of the listener community to some new product he tracked down.  Given the fact that he grew up in Houston, Texas, it is not surprising that he is also a bit of a BBQ nut owning two smokers (a Fast Eddie FEC100 Pellet Cooker and a Big Green Egg), a Weber Performer Charcoal Grill, and a Weber Summit 6 burner Gas Grill.

Jim handles the audio (and perhaps someday video) production side of the Mind of Men and is responsible for mixing, editing, and producing the podcasts.
