While Mike and Jim may be the fountain of all guy knowledge, even we occasionally find ourselves turning to other places for great information.  In the information section, we list some of the places we go and suggest that you, too, might find them interesting.

Our products section contains the websites for products that Mike and/or Jim personally use and can recommend wholeheartedly.  At the present time, neither Mike nor Jim receive any compensation from any of the products listed.  Should that change, we will note it immediately, however neither of us plan to personally endorse a product that we do not own or at the very least have not personally tested.

Now, while there are a lot of great web sites out there and we certainly visit many of them, only a few websites make the cut to be websites that are on our mind.  We personally guarantee that each of the web sites we list below are the tops in their respective fields and are certainly worth your time.  This list will be periodically updated as we find new websites that meet our strict criteria.

BBQ

BBQ Central This is the site to go to with all of your BBQ questions.  Operated by one of our guest contributors, Greg Rempe, this site contains a forum, information on his radio show, and archives of his BBQ podcast in one place.  What’s best is that the site plays no favorites with respect to equipment, BBQ style, or experience and is very newbie friendly.

Cigars

StogieFresh – As the Doc says, StogieFresh is your #1 site for Cigar education on the web.  Not only a source for cigar and accessory reviews, StogieFresh is the place for videos, text, and audio files, all aimed at helping to increase your knowledge of the cigar hobby.

Political

FactCheck.org – This is a great non-partisan website that looks at statements and claims made by politicians and others and checks the facts.  Both Mike and I highly recommend you check this page out from time to time and certainly whenever you hear a politician make what sounds like dubious statements.

Politifact.com – This is another great fact checking website.  Same sort of info and same sort of research as FactCheck.org, but they may focus on different things so its worth looking at both of them.

RealClearPolitics.com- While this site has lots of political related news, the primary area of interest to Mike and Jim is the polling data that you can reach right from the top menu.  This site aggregates the latest opinion polls for the President, Congress, and others.  During election season it often has the tracking poll data for the various candidates.

Vanderburgh Humidors – Hands down, these are the best custom crafted humidors that money can buy.  Our Man, Eddie makes some really impressive stuff and Jim owns two of them.  The price of admission is steep – but if you can swing it, you are purchasing a true work of art.  Once you have one of these boxes, you are never going to want to go back to the days of the cheap Chinese made particle board that passes for humidors in most places.
